The Challenge

Founded in 2015, Melbourne Cable Park is an award-winning outdoor adventure destination located in Victoria, Australia. It is open year-round and features an aqua park, cable wakeboarding, minigolf, outdoor cinema, and high-rope adventures.

The Melbourne Cable Park team’s vision is to create a fun experience for families and friends.

Park Manager, Ian Clark, said, "Most of the people who have been to [the park] have said it's the best time they've ever had." 

Melbourne Cable Park needed an efficient, cost-effective way to process a high volume of guests within a tight timeframe.

The venue features an inflatable aqua park that can accommodate 200 guests per 50-minute session. That leaves just 10 minutes for the MCP team to turn around the park for the next round of guests. This includes getting 200 guests out of the water, collecting lifejackets, redistributing them to the next round of guests, and ensuring the park is ready for the next session.

The volume of people is the biggest concern—how do we get 200 people through in a 15-minute window short of opening up 15 cash registers.
